DEUTSCH PROFESSIONAL CRIMP TOOL:

We are offering two styles of crimping tools so that you can choose the one that suits your situation best.  Our tools were bought from Deutsch directly for $349 each.  They provide a perfect crimp every time.  Our tool is sourced from the company that used to build their tools and they provide a perfect crimp every time for a lot less because we buy a lot of them directly and pass the savings onto you. 

We also provide a non-professional version of this tool that is only sized for the 14 pin HD connector pins and sockets.  They do an OK job but will not last for thousands of cycles and take more hand strength.  For 75% of our customers that crimper is enough. 

For the rest of you this is the crimper.  It works with all of the sizes and is adjustable for depth setting. We even sat in on a demonstration where they cut the pin open to check the crimp quality and they were making a 100% contact on all sides.  This is truly a professional crimper.

 

 

Technical Information

How does it work?

On the back of the connector, carefully slide the tool over the wire and slide inside the rubber pin or socket and give it a 1/4 turn until you feel it engage.  Carefully tug on the wire from behind the connector until it comes out of the connector.  If it is still stuck, then pull the tool out slightly and turn again as you push it back in.  This is because it does not always grab all of the barbs in the connector.  It does not take any muscle to do this, only technique.  Using muscle will only cause you to damage the connector or the tool.  Be careful.  Take your time.
