DEUTSCH MULTI-TOOL: Available February 2025

While we were working on our new tool sets, we were shown this tool an could not believe our eyes.  All of these years I have been using a jewelers screw driver (Rather Poorly) to pull the wedges out.  Half the time I destroyed them because I had no idea this tool existed.  Have a look at the photos and video and you will see how handy this little tool is for working with Deutsch connectors.  It's an absolute must.

 

 

Technical Information

How does it work?

On the back of the connector, carefully slide the tool over the wire and slide inside the rubber pin or socket and give it a 1/4 turn until you feel it engage.  Carefully tug on the wire from behind the connector until it comes out of the connector.  If it is still stuck, then pull the tool out slightly and turn again as you push it back in.  This is because it does not always grab all of the barbs in the connector.  It does not take any muscle to do this, only technique.  Using muscle will only cause you to damage the connector or the tool.  Be careful.  Take your time.
