Introducing the Genius Controller, specifically engineered for solenoid control applications. We value your feedback, and you've asked for a 14-pin output connector-style controller that allows for direct connection of 14-pin attachments to your Bobcat® machines without relying on a control box. We heard you—here it is: The New 6014 Controller.

This controller is part of the 6000 series, featuring 6 output capabilities and a 14-pin connector designed according to the traditional Bobcat 14-pin layout. It is compatible with attachments from Takeuchi, Gehl, Kubota, Mustang, Case, and Cat, supporting up to 6 control plugs with K pin power. This controller is perfect for CID/Spartan/Prowler Swing Boom Cutters.

Installation is a breeze, taking approximately 1 minute and offering a 100% plug-and-play experience. This configuration is tailored for boom mounting, enabling repeated use across any attachment equipped with up to 6 solenoids. It comes fully complete and is ready for direct plug-in to any Bobcat® branded machine. The controller includes power, communication features, and a port status indicator LED that confirms operational status and command reception from the Bobcat® machine.

Customers previously encountered issues with controllers being damaged when driving away with them connected to attachments, which would lead to permanent destruction. To address this, we have split the cabling, allowing the Deutsch connector to detach from the cable, minimizing the risk of damage in such situations. Should disconnection occur, users can easily re-strip the cable, add pins, reassemble, and quickly return to work.

Ditch the inferior control boxes provided by manufacturers and upgrade to true machine controls.

Note: The 6014 controller is not compatible with the Bobcat 2020+ Versahandler 923 model due to the absence of an ACD controller.

Technical Information

Programming

This new controller allows users to program the momentary circuits to be latching if desired. Due to overcurrent issues with your machine, you can program only one out of each switch group to be latching. Once set, these configurations will remain in the controller, eliminating the need to reset them every time you start your machine. Settings can be adjusted for different attachments as needed.

Pin Configuration:

  • A1/A2 (Pin C/D): One can latch while the other remains momentary. This functionality is not compatible with Toolcat, Versahandler, and hand-foot control machines.
  • B1/B2 (Pin E/F): One can latch while the other remains momentary.
  • C1/C2 (Pin G/H): One can latch while the other remains momentary.

Limitations:

Due to fuse and circuit limitations, any combination of two latching functions can operate simultaneously. Attempting to latch three circuits will cause the circuit to reset, requiring reprogramming of the adapter.

Compatibility

This adapter is specially designed to plug into any Bobcat® 7 Pin connector, allowing the operator to run up to 6 x 12-volt solenoids directly from the stick controls of your Bobcat®. It is compatible with Bobcat® skid steer loaders as well as Toolcat and Versahandler machines.

Chinese Attachments:
Additionally, newer Chinese attachments have been observed to lack filtering on their solenoids, potentially introducing massive sparks into the line during operation, which previously jeopardized our earlier controllers. To combat this, our new PCBs feature wider component spacing and enhanced filtering capabilities. We believe this new design represents the best of both worlds. Having refined our designs over the past decade, we are confident that we have addressed every aspect of field usage, making this the most reliable controller to date.

Warning - CAT XHP: For CAT XHP High Flow Attachments using 14-pin plugs, note that a jumper is installed in the attachment plug that loops pin K back to ground for high flow attachment sensing. This setup is only applicable to CAT machines. Bobcat uses pin K for power; therefore, if a Cat D series attachment is plugged into a Bobcat-wired plug, it will short the output and blow the fuse.
